ACC employs 11 full–time boat builders. We also employ many local sub–contractors year round.
William "Billzo" Koffler
I have been involved with boats since my childhood. Sailing on
Barnegat Bay with my dad started my fascination and love for boats. I
moved to Maine in my early 20’s, and attended The Landing School. There I
earned a certificate in boat design, graduating as the class
valedictorian. After spending another six months learning wooden boat
construction, I took a job with a hi-tech custom builder where for 13
years I built grand prix race boats and advanced composite cruising
boats, 10 of which I spent as a lead builder.
In 2001, I founded Aquidneck Custom Composites. I bought tools
and a trailer to become a mobile yacht repair business. Scott O'Connell
soon joined me and the rest is history. ACC now builds world class
custom boats and composite parts.
Scott O'Connell
Scott is a company partner and has been at ACC since the
beginning, in 2001. Scott spent 7–years building grand prix racing
sailboats boats before joining ACC. Before that, Scott attended and
graduated from the Landing School of Boatbuilding and Design. Scott is
the well–respected boss on the floor. His classic wooden boat training
and a combined 17–years of boat building has made him a master craftsman
in all sense of the word.
